Mukti yoga

Mukti yoga is a pure, deep and energetically very potent yogic practice.

It was created after 25 years of Tonči’s daily personal practice of traditional Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga and Iyengar yoga, and a lot of study of Yoga, body anatomy and teaching other people.

During this period, an understanding of what kind of asanas, i.e. body positions, are wise to practice in the long term and what truly heals the body, awakened in him.

He also had many insights about working with the breath, its connection with the human energy body, emotions and mind.

All this prompted him to create a different way of practicing yoga asanas whose primary purpose is deep healing of the body, awakening and integration of energy in the body, and mental and emotional purification.

Mukti yoga consists of two fundamental aspects, internal and external.

•The internal aspect includes working with the soft palate that opens the central energy channel, two-way or circular breathing and bandhas – energy locks.

All of the above forms a very potent internal practice that is the energetic foundation of Mukti yoga.

•The external aspect includes the dynamic part of the practice through Sun Salutations A and B and the static part of the practice consisting of 63 carefully selected and anatomically refined asanas.

Mukti yoga does not have a fixed sequence of asanas and it is not necessary to perform them all in one practice. A person feels different every day and intuitively chooses the asanas and the length of the daily practice. The entire practice is performed slowly and concentrated on the correct alignment of the body and on its internal aspects. The postures can be held for 5 – 10 long stable breaths. Due to its energetic strength, even a shorter daily practice is quite sufficient.

The benefits of Mukti yoga are manifested in the alignment of the entire skeleton, healing the body from injuries, traumas and pain, cleansing the body of toxins, increasing lung capacity, improving health, etc.

In addition to the mentioned physical benefits, Mukti yoga awakens an abundance of energy in the body, brings emotional purification and healing, grounding, calming of mental activity and the natural ability to be in the present moment.

Mukti yoga is performed with the use of yoga aids, bricks, blankets and straps, with the aim of adjusting the body in positions as precisely as possible. It is intended for complete beginners and advanced yoga asana practitioners.
