Puja

Puja is an ancient, extremely powerful and sacred ritual whose purpose is inner purification, healing, awakening of energy and illumination.

The heart of every Puja is always a mantra and each mantra has its own unique Puja. When the mantra is enriched with various external processes, which mainly correspond to the five elements of Creation from which everything is made – earth, water, fire, air and ether, a special kind of spiritual alchemy is created, which is called Puja.

There are many different types of Pujas. Each of them has its own unique energy, method of performance and purpose. Every detail within the Puja has its own deep meaning and energetic background.

The fundamental, root Puja of the Naga Sadhu tradition is Shiva Puja, or Rudra Abishek. Rudra is the name for the energy of transformation. This Puja awakens an abundance of energy in the body, washes away all accumulated emotional pain from human cells, traumas, mental anxiety, old karmas and everything is transformed into light. Also, the energy generated during Shiva Puja heals the entire family tree and frees ancestors from inherited generational traumas. This Puja also has the power to neutralize a number of negative influences that may be present in the personal birth chart. When Shiva Puja is performed for other people, it always includes energy transmission by touching the third eye – Ajna chakra.

After this ritual, only deep peace remains in the person and in the space where it is performed. Often, just one Shiva Puja has the power to remove the roots of a person’s deep problems, thereby giving him important insights, directing him towards a better quality and healthier life. By regularly performing Shiva Pujas or by participating in them, a person experiences an extremely rapid transformation.

Rudra Abishek is performed on the Shivalingam, perhaps the oldest “energy antenna” in the world that consists of two parts, two aspects of Creation, the Yoni and the Lingam. The Yoni represents the female aspect of Creation, Shakti. The Lingam signifies the male aspect of Creation, Shiva. Shivalingam is a unified whole of Shiva and Shakti.

The Naga Sadhu tradition has many other Pujas that complement the basic Shiva Puja. Some of them remove potential obstacles on life’s path, others awaken an abundance of inner strength, while a large part of the Puja corresponds to the feminine aspect of Creation, or Shakti, in its various manifestations.
