Yagya
Yagya, Homa or Havan, is another ancient ritual of the tradition. It has the same purpose as Puja, inner purification, healing, awakening of energy, illumination and preservation of Dharma, only it is performed in a completely different way.
As with Puja, the core of every Yagya is the mantra. Since there are many different types of mantras, each with its own specific energy and purpose, the same is the case with Yagya.
Yagya greatly enhances the power of the mantra and is often, apart from being a personal method of self-development, used as a group practice where several people chant or sing mantras together.
In addition to the mantra, this ritual also uses the element of fire as the most transformative medium of all five elements that make up the entire Creation. Along with the mantra and fire, specific food is also used and offered into the fire.
This alchemical combination of mantra, fire and food releases great energy in all participants of the ritual and the entire space in which the Yagya is held is filled with light. Where there is light, all darkness naturally disappears, everyone spontaneously becomes a better person and follows the path of the spirit. For this reason, Yagyas and Pujas have always been the great guardians of Dharma.
